Laparoscopic suture device with autoloading and suture capture

A suturing device is provided. The closure device may include at least one perforation hole, a drive mechanism, and a self-loading mechanism. The percussion aperture may include at least one needle disposed therein rotatably configured to engage a suture for deployment. The drive mechanism may be operatively coupled to the needle and configured to advance the needle from the retracted position to the extended position during engagement of the needle and retract the needle from the extended position to the retracted position during release. The self-loading mechanism may be operatively coupled to the actuation mechanism and configured to allow the suture to be deployed to be slidably retrieved and positioned over the percussion aperture during release of the actuation mechanism.
