The invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a cellodextrin component comprising a cellosaccha- ride selected from the group consisting of cellobiose, cellotriose, cellotetraose, cellopentaose, cellohexaose, cello-heptaose, cellooctaose, cellononaose, cellodecaose, celloundecaose, cellododecaose, and combinations thereof; and (i) a lipoid component comprising one or more natural or synthetic lipoids; and/or (ii) a surfactant component comprising an anionic surfactant, cationic surfactant, amphoteric surfactant, nonionic surfactant; and/or (iii) a thickening component; and/or (iv) a pigment component; or any combination thereof; wherein at least a portion of said cellodextrin component is present within the cosmetic composition in undissolved form.
