Disclosed are an eye movement-based degenerative cognitive decline evaluation method and an eye movement-based degenerative cognitive decline evaluation apparatus. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the eye movement-based degenerative cognitive function degradation evaluation method comprises the steps of analyzing forward and reverse saccade eye movements of the eye tracking a moving target; measuring, through the analysis, an error rate with respect to the degree to which the movement of the eyeball deviates from the movement path of the target; measuring, through the analysis, a response delay time required for the eyeball to track the target in a predetermined section in which the target moves; and when any one of the false answer rate and the response delay time is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold, determining a cognitive function decline for the subject who recognizes an object through the eyeball.
