The present invention relates to a strain producing lycopene with high productivity, in which the metabolic pathway of lycopene biosynthesis is precisely regulated, and to a method of producing lycopene by using same. The strain producing lycopene with high productivity according to the present invention includes dxs and ispA genes introduced therein, and was confirmed to have a significantly increased productivity of lycopene compared to the parent strain. Therefore, the strain producing lycopene with high productivity of the present invention can be widely applied in various industrial fields where lycopene is utilized.
