Method and device for the automated microscopic analysis of samples containing nerve cells

The invention provides a method for the automated optical analysis or evaluation of microscopic images of samples which contain nerve cells. The process can run with uniform staining of nerve cells, e.g. without differential staining of nerve cells to differentiate neurites and somata, and can therefore simplify and accelerate the time-consuming and difficult to reproduce manual evaluation of microscopic images through automation.
