To provide an elevator system capable of properly detecting a car position.SOLUTION: An identifying method of a car position is provided with: a storage part which stores an elevator floor height; an atmospheric pressure measuring part which is installed in a car to measure the atmospheric pressure at a height where an identification body is located, which is detected by a detection part; a calculation part which calculates the atmospheric pressure on each floor of the elevator based on the atmospheric pressure at the height where the identification body is located and the floor height stored in the storage part; and an identifying part which finds the car position from the atmospheric pressure on each floor calculated by the calculation part and the atmospheric pressure measured by the atmospheric pressure measuring part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
