To expand and suggest an application capable of utilizing an antibacterial property of an anodic oxidized phosphor bronze, by verifying an amplified antibacterial property of phosphor bronze after anodic oxidation and providing a method for reducing discoloration caused by contact with a human body.SOLUTION: By making the composition of the anodic oxidized phosphor bronze alloy comprise 1.05 wt.% of tin and 0.09 wt.% of phosphorus, and a remainder made up by copper and unavoidable impurities, antibacterial properties may be further amplified. It is considered that using the anodic oxidized phosphor bronze having these high antibacterial properties the spread of an infectious disease or the like can be obviated by covering handrails, doorknobs, and other parts that are directly touched by hands, in medical institutions.SELECTED DRAWING: None
