An apparatus for predicting power consumption by applying an average error of a weather forecast is provided. The weather DB stores the predicted weather (hereinafter referred to as 'weather forecast') and the actual weather in a predetermined time unit, and the average error calculator calculates the difference between the weather forecast stored in the weather DB and the actual weather as a weather error, , calculates an average of accumulated weather errors (hereinafter, referred to as 'average error'), and the power prediction unit predicts power consumption by using the current weather forecast and the calculated average error.
