A boiler combustion model derivation apparatus and method for setting input and output data and deriving a boiler combustion model using a combination of mathematical models including artificial neural networks are disclosed. The method for deriving the boiler combustion model includes setting input data and output data of the boiler combustion model, an input layer for receiving input data, a hidden layer including a plurality of nodes for calculating the input data, and transmission from the hidden layer and deriving a boiler combustion model including an output layer for outputting the calculated calculation result as output data, and determining the precision of the derived boiler combustion model.
