To provide system operation support device and method in power system capable of supporting operation for the operator of an electric power system, in order to stabilize the electric power system, and to provide an application system thereof.SOLUTION: A system operation support device for stabilizing an electric power system includes a predicted accident time system state calculation section for calculating the system state and the predicted accident time system state by receiving measurement data, the system topology and the object accident type, a control menu calculation section for calculating a control menu by receiving the results from the predicted accident time system state calculation section, a recovery control means calculation section for calculating the recovery control procedure by receiving the results from the control menu calculation section, a recovery prevention control procedure calculation section performing the generator output adjustment time simulation, required prevention control amount calculation and prevention control procedure calculation by receiving the results from the recovery control means calculation section and the target recovery time parameters, and a display section for displaying the recovery control procedure and the prevention control procedure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
