Disclosed are a border-gateway-based method and system for migrating a task of an underwater ad hoc network. The technical solution thereof comprises: selecting a border gateway used for task migration management; adding sensor node information to a resource manager of the border gateway; the border gateway arranging the sensor node information so as to form a priority ranking of nodes in a resource queue; the border gateway arranging task information of an original sensor node in descending order according to task priorities and placing the task information in a task queue of a task manager, and selecting the optimal task cooperation node; and migrating a task to the task cooperation node by means of the border gateway for task calculation, and sending a calculation result to the original sensor node. By means of the present invention, a node of an underwater ad hoc network sends collected subsea heterogeneous data to the nearest border gateway; and the border gateway also migrates a task of a resource-constrained node to a resource-rich node to cooperatively complete the task, such that the network load is balanced, the energy consumption of nodes is reduced, and the observation efficiency of ocean data is improved.
