The disclosure refers to a tip (1) for a single use endoscope, in particular for a single use duodenoscope, the tip (1) comprising at least one light emitting device (5, 6), an imaging device (7) and a housing (8, 9, 10) encapsulating the at least one light emitting device (5, 6) and the imaging device (7) in a fluid tight manner, wherein the at least one light emitting device (5, 6) is arranged on a planar printed circuit board (21) provided within the housing (8, 9, 10), and the housing (8, 9, 10) at least in part is made from a transparent material, in particular a transparent plastic material preferably by injection molding, and comprises at least one transparent light guiding part (14, 15) or light guiding section (14, 15) for guiding light emitted by the at least one light emitting device (5, 6) to an outside of the tip (1). Besides, the disclosure relates to a method of producing a tip for an endoscope.
