MULTI CAPACITY COMPRESSOR WITH VARIABLE SCIENCE APPLICATION AND METHOD OF USE

A HVAC system with a multi-capacity compressor and a control system for the multi-capacity compressor are described here.The control system includes a AC power source, a variable voltage drive and a processor.The AC power source is configured to operate the multi-capacity capacitor.The variable voltage and variable frequency drive is connected to the AC voltage source and thus configured,that it operates the multi-capacity compressor at a variable speed.The processor is connected to the AC power source and the drive with variable voltage and variable frequency and configured in such a way that it selectively connects the AC power source and the drive with variable voltage and variable frequency with the multi-capacity compressor to operate the multi-capacity compressor.The processor is also configured to transmit a capacity control signal to the multi-capacity compressor.The capacity control signal shall instruct the multi-capacity compressor to operate in one of several capacity settings.
