In design forms, a magnetorheological fluid (MRF) joystick system for a working vehicle includes a joystick device, an MRF joystick resistance mechanism and a control architecture.The joystick device, in turn, includes a base housing, a joystick that is mounted movably on the base housing, and a joystick preload mechanism that is coupled with the joystick and exerts a centrifugal force that forces the joystick to return to the centered position when moved from it.The control architecture can be operated in a modified centrifugal mode in which the control architecture: (i) determines:when the joystick returns to the centered position due to the centrifugal force applied by the joystick preload mechanism;and (ii) when determined, the MRF-Joystick resistance mechanism instructs to modify a rate by which the joystick returns to the centered position by varying the MRF resistance force applied to the joystick.
