BROAD-SPECTRUM ANTIVIRAL DRUG AND USE THEREOF

Provided in the present disclosure is an antiviral drug, which comprises a 2'-O-methylation-sensitive RNA-related enzyme or an encoding nucleic acid sequence of the 2'-O-methylation-sensitive RNA-related enzyme. Further provided in the present disclosure is the pharmaceutical use of the 2'-O-methylation-sensitive RNA-related enzyme or the encoding nucleic acid sequence of the 2'-O-methylation-sensitive RNA-related enzyme. Preferably, the 2'-O-methylation-sensitive RNA-related enzyme is the ribonuclease MgR from Mycoplasma genitalium. The antiviral drug provided in the present disclosure has a broad-spectrum antiviral effect, essentially has no cytotoxicity, and can be used to prevent infection of the virus in animals, plants and humans.
