The invention relates to a footwear comprising an upper part (UP) and a sole (101), the upper part (UP) being attached to the sole (101), the upper part being formed by at least two footwear defining parts, the at least two footwear defining parts comprising a vamp (102) and a quarter (103), wherein at least one of the at least two footwear defining parts are formed by a leather laminate (600), the leather laminate (600) being formed as a composite laminate having a leather layer (601) laminated to a reinforcing fabric (603) by means of an adhesive (602), and wherein the leather layer (601) is at least a part of an outer surface of the footwear.
