The invention concerns a process and a tablet press (1) for the automated production of a predetermined number of individualised tablets (101, 102, 103) with a predetermined amount of a first active substance (14).The tablet press (1) includes a press room (2),a first container of material to be filled with the first active substance (14);a first dosing device (12),a control system (6) and an input device (30).The press room (2) has a removable upper stamp (40),a detachable sub-stamp (50),at least one matrix (60, 61, 62) and one non-operable weighing device (16) below at least one matrix (60, 61, 62) by means of which a mass of a material filled into a central opening (60a, 61a, 62a) of the matrix (60, 61, 62) can be measured.The input device (30) is designed to transmit a set number (35) and a set mass (36) of the individual tablets produced (101, 102, 103) to the control system (6).The control system (6) is designed to read the measurement data of the weighing device (16) and the first dosing device (12),control the upper and lower stamps (40) in such a way that a quantity of the first active substance (14) is present;which corresponds to the target mass (36) is filled into the central opening (60a, 61a, 62a) of the matrix (60, 61, 62) and pressed into a tablet (101, 102, 103) by means of the upper stamp (40) and the lower stamp (50) and this process is repeated so often until the number of tablets (101, 102, 103) has been produced.
