To provide a seed coating agent, a coated seed and a seed coating method capable of improving coating uniformity and seed release ability and maintaining intensity of a coating layer of the coated seed to sufficient intensity in practical use.SOLUTION: A seed coating agent of the invention includes as iron materials, iron oxide powder and iron powder, and is used for coating a surface of a seed. The iron oxide powder is included in the iron materials by a ratio of 20 mass% or greater and 70 mass% or smaller, and with respect to total weight, iron oxide powder having a particle diameter of less than 45 μm is included by 60 mass% or greater. The iron powder is configured so that, iron powder having a particle diameter of less than 45 μm is included by 59 mass% or smaller with respect to total weight thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
