A direct drive device of a walking belt using an outer rotor-type PMAC motor for a treadmill according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a hollow outer housing formed in a cylindrical shape, around which the walking belt is wound, so as to rotate the walking belt with respect to a body frame; an inner shaft extending in the longitudinal direction by the length of the outer housing at the inner center of the outer housing; a motor module which has a PMAC motor and is internally coupled to one side of the outer housing so as to rotate the outer housing about the inner shaft; and a forced circulation fan module which is disposed opposite to the other side of the outer housing with the inner shaft as an axis and is interlocked with the motor module by the inner shaft so as to forcibly dissipate heat generated during operation of the motor module.
