The blood pressure monitoring method comprises: acquiring physical sign data (S101); determining a rest time according to the physical sign data (S102); sending first prompt information (S103), wherein the first prompt information is used for prompting the rest time before blood pressure measurement; and executing a blood pressure measurement strategy according to first feedback information (S104). A rest time of a user is determined by means of physical sign data, so that the influence of emotional fluctuation or movement on a blood pressure measurement result can be avoided. Since different users have different physical conditions, and physical sign data comprises data for representing the physical state of a user, the flexibility of determining different rest times for the users with different physical conditions can be achieved by determining the rest times according to the physical sign data, so that the reliability and accuracy of a blood pressure measurement result can be guaranteed.
