FIELD: nuclear technology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fission chamber for neutron detection in a wide power range (from thermal to fast). The chamber is made based on a system of switched tubular electrodes with applied uranium oxide coatings (radiators) located coaxially in a metal body filled with working gas. The system of axial and concentric electrodes includes radiator sections with applied uranium oxide coatings based on isotopically pure 238U and 235U with 90% enrichment for detection of fast and thermal neutrons, respectively, placed separately within the system of coaxial electrodes. The remaining tubular elements are used as compensation sections for detection of the gamma flux in the central, middle and outer coaxial areas of the electrode system of the fission ionisation chamber.;EFFECT: technical result consists in detecting a neutron flux in a power range from thermal to fast neutrons (from 0.025 eV to 20 MeV) with compensation of the associated gamma flux in the conditions of stationary operation, transition periods of shutting down, starting up and putting the nuclear reactor into full-power operation.;4 cl, 2 dwg
