According to the present invention, a fingerprint image display means displays an input fingerprint image which is a fingerprint image that has been input and a registered fingerprint image which is a fingerprint image that has been registered. A marker acquisition means acquires the position of an input marker that is input by a user in the displayed input fingerprint image. A marker applying means applies an application marker to a position, corresponding to the input marker, in the registered fingerprint image. A comparison means compares the input fingerprint image to which the input marker has been input against the registered fingerprint image to which the application marker has been applied.
