FIELD: coatings.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for applying heat-resistant Y-Al-O coatings from vacuum-arc discharge plasma and can be used for manufacturing turbine blades, static parts in turbojet engines and gas turbines in need of protection from high temperatures and aggressive hot media. Vacuum-arc discharge plasma deposition is performed from two single-component cathodes Al and Y onto a substrate made of an intermetallic alloy TNM-Β1. A multilayer structure of a heat-resistant Y-Al-O coating is formed on the treated surface, alternating YAl, YAlO3, YAl layers for 8 cycles. Prior to application of the coating, CrAl sublayer preventing diffusion of oxygen and other aggressive agents to the substrate is pre-applied to the substrate.;EFFECT: improvement in the resistance of parts to gas corrosion and a possibility of achieving adhesive strength due to a multi-layered structure wherein the coating will work for an extended period of time in conditions of cyclic thermal loads at temperatures of up to 1,300°C due to stress relaxation in the layers.;2 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
