FIELD: coating application.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of applying heat-resistant coatings from plasma of vacuum-arc discharge and can be used to increase reliability and durability of a wide range of parts of machines and tools. Coating is applied from two single-component cathodes Mo and Y on substrate of composite material with molybdenum matrix reinforced with fiber based on Al2O3 oxides and double oxides Y and Al, while feeding chemically pure oxygen as reaction gas. Coating is obtained at temperatures not exceeding 500 °C, at which substrate from composite of molybdenum basis will not be destructed at high operating temperatures of about 1,300–1,500 °C. In addition, samples with coatings applied for 65 minutes are subjected to annealing at temperature of 950 °C for 1 hour in an air atmosphere for crystallisation of yttrium molybdates in coatings and stabilizing its structure, respectively.;EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to improve the resistance of parts to gas corrosion by obtaining uniform solid coatings of the required stoichiometric composition (Y2Mo3O12, Y2MoO6 and Y6MoO12).;2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex, 1 tbl
