An image tracking device 100 is provided with: an image data acquisition unit 101 that acquires image data items outputted from a camera; an object detection unit 102 that detects objects in the respective image data items; a variance calculation unit 103 that sets, for each of the image data items, a pair between a detected object and an object detected in an image data item outputted immediately thereafter, and calculates, for each pair, first in-class variance in which said pair is set as a class, second in-class variance in which objects excluding those of said pair are set as a class, and inter-class variance; a sameness determination unit 104 that determines the sameness between an object in an image data item and an object in an image data item outputted immediately thereafter on the basis of the first in-class variance, the second in-class variance, and the inter-class variance; and an object tracking unit 105 that executes an object tracking process on the basis of the determination result.
