ACTIVE COORDINATION SET FOR SHARED-SPECTRUM ENVIRONMENTS

This document describes methods, devices, systems, and means for an active coordination set for shared-spectrum environments. Multiple base stations included in an active coordination set (ACS) that is operating in a shared-spectrum environment perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation (702) before a downlink (DL) transmission to a user equipment. Based on an outcome of the LBT operation, the respective base stations determine whether they are free to begin the DL transmission (704). If the respective base station is not free to begin transmitting, base station performs another LBT operation (702). When the respective base station determines that it is free to begin the DL transmission, the base station transmits the DL transmission (706) and communicates transmit-timing information (TTI) to other base stations in the ACS (708) or to a master base station of the ACS, which relays the TTI to the other base stations in the ACS.
