A wavelength division multiplexer and a silicon photonic integrated chip. The wavelength division multiplexer comprises at least two polarization control structures (200) provided on a silicon base and at least one polarization-independent Mach-Zehnder interferometer (100). Each polarization control structure (200) comprises two input ports and an output port, and each Mach-Zehnder interferometer (100) comprises two input ports and an output port for outputting a multiplexed optical signal. The output port of the polarization control structure (200) is connected to the input ports of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer (100). By means of the polarization control structure (200) having a designable bandwidth, the present invention increases the optical bandwidth of the wavelength division multiplexer, reduces the optical loss, decreases the number of phase shift arms required to be adjusted and fed back, and reduces the overall power consumption of a device. The polarization control structure (200) has a big production tolerance and good stability, and the reliability and the yield of the wavelength division multiplexer can be effectively improved.
