Provided in embodiments of the present application are a map data collection method, apparatus and system, which can targetingly report map data, avoiding data redundancy, and improving the collection efficiency of map data. The method comprises: receiving a first instruction from a network side device, the first instruction being used to indicate to a first vehicle a means of reporting map data, the first instruction comprising confidence level information, and the confidence level information being used to indicate a confidence level that the map data reported by the first vehicle needs to reach; and sending the map data to the network side device according to the map data reporting means indicated by the first instruction, the confidence level of the map data not being lower than the confidence level indicated by the confidence level information.
