A FULL FACEPIECE ELASTOMERIC RESPIRATOR WITH EXHALATION FILTERING AND LOW BREATHING RESISTANCE FOR RESPIRATORY INFECTION DISEASE PREVENTION AND CONFINEMENT

A new design of a full facepiece elastomeric respirator with exhalation filtering and low breath resistance is provided for respiratory infection disease prevention and confinement, which overcome several disadvantages associated with currently available commercial respirators: (i) the exhalation filtering will stop respiratory disease spreading if the infected person wear this respirator; (ii) the low breathing resistance will allow the respirator to be wore for a long period of time; (iii) the elastomeric feature provides a complete seal around the face to prevent salivary micro-mist and aerosol from breathed-in; (iv) the full facepiece will prevent eyes, nose and face get any exposure; and (v) the voice diaphragm allows voice communication for daily use. This respirator is particularly useful for those who are facing to the respiratory disease infected patients because regular face mask could not prevent them from infected.
