Acoustic wave devices and associated procedures shall be disclosed. In some designs, an acoustic wave device may include a quartz substrate with a first surface and a piezoelectric plate, which consists of LiTaO3 or LiNbO3 and has a first surface designed to control an acoustic surface wave and a second surface in contact with the first surface of the quartz substrate. The second surface is a minus surface resulting from the crystal structure orientation of the piezoelectric plate. The acoustic wave device continues to include an interdigital converter electrode,trained on the first surface of the piezoelectric plate and designed to provide a changer functionality related to the acoustic surface wave.
