Aspects of a storage device with a memory and a controller are provided that allow data that are associated with a media stream and have high entropy to be stored in intact locations, with improved data protection and with better NAND parameters than low-rent data. After receiving data associated with a media stream, the controller identifies an entropy level of the data. When the entropy level reaches an entropy threshold, the controller stores the data in a first block of memory associated with a lower BER,and/or with a higher literacy rate or a first, more discreet voltage. Alternatively, if the entropy level does not reach the entropy threshold, the controller stores the data in a second block of memory associated with a higher BER and/or with a lower font voltage or a second, less discrete voltage.
