Disclosed are a content recognition method and apparatus, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: obtaining a current frame image; detecting whether a target region currently displayed on a screen is within the current frame image, the target region being a corresponding region of the previous frame image on which content recognition is performed; and keeping displaying, on the screen, the target region and the recognition result obtained by performing content recognition on the target region. By means of the method, in the process of obtaining the current frame image in real time, whether a target region of the previous frame image on which content recognition is performed exceeds the range of a current frame image can be detected first, and when the range of the current frame is not exceeded, a corresponding target region of the previous frame image on which content recognition is performed and a corresponding recognition result are still displayed on a screen, so that the unstable display of the recognition result caused by frequent changes in content of the current frame image acquired in real time due to shake can be prevented.
