Provided in the present application are a method for cooperative communication, and a device applied to cooperative communication. In the method, a first access point (AP) can send a declaration message and/or a polling message to one or more second APs, wherein the declaration message is used to declare that the first AP can share its own time resources, and the declaration message may also comprise: identification information for indicating one or more second APs, and time information for instructing the one or more second APs to communicate or perform channel contention within the time resources shared by the first AP; and the polling message can be used to notify the second APs to start, at a pre-set time, to perform communication using channel resources shared by the first AP with the second APs or to start to perform channel contention. By means of the present application, multiple APs can share time resources, which can not only improve the utilization rate of resources, but can also realize the cooperation between multiple APs, so that multiple APs can transmit data freely, and the flexibility of data transmission is thus improved.
