Effect of Vinyl-Substituted Aromatic Monomers on Nitrile Migration

The present disclosure relates to nitrile-vinylidene substituted aromatic polymers comprising less than about 250 ppm vinylidene substituted aromatic monomers. The present disclosure also relates to a method for minimizing nitrile migration in a nitrile-vinylidene substituted aromatic polymer in which the amount of residual nitrile-vinylidene substituted aromatic monomer in the nitrile-vinylidene substituted aromatic polymer is reduced. The present disclosure also relates to methods of making nitrile-vinylidene substituted aromatic polymers comprising less than about 250 ppm styrene monomer.
