The present invention relates to a mobile robot equipped with a D detection module and a FOD collection method using the same. In the FOD collection method using a mobile robot equipped with a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) detection module, a) One for FOD collecting the above training image data and learning the FOD detection model based on deep learning to classify the FOD using the collected training image data; b) receiving map information on a traveling area of the mobile robot, and acquiring an image of a surrounding area through the camera while the mobile robot equipped with a camera travels according to the map information; c) detecting the real-time FOD by inputting the surrounding image into the learned FOD detection model, and extracting detection location information of the detected FOD; d) setting the current location information of the mobile robot as a base, calculating the travel direction and distance to the detected location information based on the base to calculate the movement information, and then based on the movement information, the mobile robot moving to perform a FOD collection operation; and e) when the FOD collection operation of the mobile robot is completed, moving to a base based on the movement information and performing a real-time FOD detection function.
