A method for optimizing crew operation of a ship is disclosed. The method of optimizing crew operation of a ship is: a) defining the scenario of the mission of the ship and the department of the ship to which the crew of the ship will be deployed; b) The size of the crew for each department is determined through the first optimization using the queue system. and c) deriving the optimal crew size and division by department through secondary optimization using a discrete event simulation system.
