The present invention relates to a permanent solid calcium fertilizer suitable for fruit physiological disorders and pests, characterized in that it contains more than 98.5% by weight of calcium carbonate. Also an object of the present invention is the use of said fertilizer for the protection of crops from pests and preferably for the protection of pear and/or apple crops.
