The present disclosure relates to a preparation method for (R)-o-chloromandelic acid. By means of the preparation method, the present disclosure improves the utilization rate of a reaction buffer, thereby reducing the production cost of (R)-o-chloromandelic acid, significantly reducing the discharge of the waste liquid, and achieving the environmentally friendly production of (R)-o-chloromandelic acid. Meanwhile, the preparation method of the present disclosure offers a good separation effect, a high yield, a long service life of the strongly basic anion resin used therein, and a separated aqueous phase capable of continuing to provide a reaction system for the next biocatalysis, which reduces the production costs and reducing the discharge of waste water. The present disclosure further provides a cyclic bioenzyme catalytic reaction system for the preparation method for (R)-o-chloromandelic acid. With this catalytic reaction system, the the production operation is simplified and the operating efficiency is improved. The present disclosure further relates to a method for preparing (R)-o-chloromandelic acid using the cyclic bioenzyme catalytic reaction system.
