PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioelectrochemistry system which is more excellent in the processing speed of the entire device than a conventional bioelectrochemistry system and also provide an electrode used for the same.SOLUTION: A bioelectrochemistry system includes: a container; liquid housed in the container and containing an organic substance and an electron donor microorganism; an anode arranged so as to come into contact with the liquid; and a cathode arranged so as to come into contact with the liquid or so as to be adjacent to the liquid across a cation permeable membrane. The anode contains nickel-iron alloy which is heated and processed so that the maximum reaching temperature becomes equal to or higher than 200°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
