The present invention relates to a method for screening individuals capable of producing high-quality milk. Alternatively, the present invention relates to a method for identifying single nucleotide polymorphisms from a biological sample isolated from an individual for the purpose of selecting an individual capable of producing high-quality milk. When the screening method of the present invention is applied, it is possible to pre-classify and breed mammals of individuals that produce high-quality milk with a high content of beta-casein A2 (ß casein A2) and an appropriate number of somatic cells and urea nitrogen content. Therefore, it is expected to be widely used in the dairy and food industries.
