Disclosed is a method for a terminal to dynamically apply a battery saving technique. The method for dynamically applying a battery saving technique comprises the steps of: transmitting a first message requesting activation of a battery saving technique dynamic service to an authentication server; receiving a second message, which is a response to the first message, from the authentication server; transmitting and receiving data to and from a base station while in a battery saving technique inactivation state when response information included in the second message includes authentication success and at least one application included in the second message is running; and maintaining a battery saving technique activation state when the application included in the second message is not running.
