Assembly (1) for drilling a hole for an implant in the jawbone of a patient in cooperation with a surgical drill guide (2) comprising a first tubular drill barrel (3) with a first internal diameter (D3) and a second tubular drilling barrel (4) with a second internal diameter (D4), the second internal diameter (D4) being greater than the first internal diameter (D3), said assembly (1) comprising a drill (5) extending along a longitudinal direction (II) between a proximal end (5a) and a free distal end (5b), with a proximal connection section (5c) to a dental handpiece and a distal cutting section (5d), said drill bit (5) ) comprising, between its proximal connecting sections (5c) and distal cutting (5d), an intermediate cylindrical guide section (5e) capable of engaging with small clearance according to its outer diameter (D5e) in the first tubular barrel of drilling (3). It is provided that: - said assembly (1) comprises an adapter sleeve tation (6) able to engage with small clearance according to an outer diameter (D6a) of an engagement section (6a) in the second tubular drilling barrel (4), - the distal cutting section (5d) of the drill (5) has an outside diameter (D5d) which is less than or equal to the first inside diameter (D3), - the adapter sleeve (6) has an inside diameter (D6) suitable for receiving the intermediate section of guide (5th) of the drill (5).
