PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a composite magnetic material which is extremely hard to rust and therefore, hard to cause the degradation of an electric property, and by which an electronic part or component superior in strength can be obtained; and a composite magnetic compact which can be obtained by thermally curing the composite magnetic material.SOLUTION: A composite magnetic material comprises: metal magnetic powder; a binder resin; and an organic metallic soap. The organic metallic soap has a melting point which is equal to or lower than a thermosetting temperature of the binder resin. A value calculated by the following expression is between 0.01 wt.% and 2.0 wt.% exclusive: Content (weight) of the organic metallic soap/(Content (weight) of the organic metallic soap+Content (weight) of the metal magnetic powder+Content (weight) of the binder resin)×100. If the composite magnetic material is compacted into a composite magnetic compact and then, the composite magnetic compact is thermally cured at the thermosetting temperature, a composite magnetic thermally-cured body including the metal magnetic powder with the surface coated with the cured binder resin and the organic metallic soap solidified after being melted can be obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: None
