In this deterioration determining device for a storage battery system in which a plurality of storage battery rows, each including a plurality of storage batteries connected in series, are connected in parallel, the storage battery system is divided into a plurality of storage battery row blocks, by the plurality of storage battery rows being connected to one another in parallel at the storage batteries positioned at the ends of the storage battery rows, and at storage batteries positioned midway along the storage battery rows, wherein the deterioration determining device is provided with: current sensors for measuring circulating currents generated between the storage battery rows in each storage battery row block when charging or discharging of the storage batteries is stopped; a measurement control unit for collecting the values of the circulating current measured by the current sensors; and a storage battery condition determining unit for determining, from the collected circulating current values, whether deterioration of the storage batteries in the storage battery row block has occurred.
