This degradation determination device is for a storage battery system obtained by parallel connection of a plurality of storage battery arrays which are each obtained by serial connection of a plurality of storage batteries. The storage batteries are each a bipolar lead storage battery. The plurality of storage battery arrays are mutually connected in parallel to the storage batteries located at the respective end parts of the storage battery arrays and the storage batteries located midway along the respective storage battery arrays, whereby the storage battery system is divided into a plurality of storage battery array blocks. The degradation determination device for a storage battery system is provided with: a current sensor that measures circulation current generated between the storage battery arrays in each of the storage battery array blocks at the time of charging stop or at the time of discharging stop of the storage batteries; a measurement control unit that collects a value of the circulation current measured by the current sensor; and a storage battery state determination unit that determines, from the value of the collected circulation current, whether degradation has occurred to a storage battery in the storage battery array block.
