This disclosure provides a method of treating an autism spectrum disorder.More particularly, the present disclosure relates to methods of treating autistic spectrum disorders using mesenchymal stromal cells derived from umbilical cord blood tissue.In one aspect, the present disclosure is a method of treating a patient with or without an autism spectrum disorder, including a method of administering a mesenchymal stromal cell (hct-msc) derived from a human umbilical cord of therapeutic effective human allogeneic to a patient.In certain embodiments, hct-msc is wholly administered.
