PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side-chain type liquid crystal polymer and a liquid crystal composition that suppress the precipitation of liquid crystals and have a wide temperature range of liquid crystal orientation; a phase difference film having a phase difference layer with improved mass productivity; a transfer laminate that allows transfer of the phase difference layer; and an optical member or a display device having the phase difference film.;SOLUTION: A side-chain type liquid crystal polymer contains a copolymer having a constitutional unit represented by formula (I), and a specific liquid crystalline constitutional unit (R¹ is H or methyl; R² is -(CH₂)_n-Li-Ar¹-R³ or -(C₂H₄O)_n'-Ar¹-R³; L¹ is a direct bond, O, -OCO- or -COO-; Ar¹ is a substituted/unsubstituted C6-12 arylene; R³ is a substituted/unsubstituted linear/branched alkyl or alkoxy; n and n' independently represent an integer of 2-10).;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
