PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic regions on the front and back of a base material through a base material in valuable printed matter such as banknotes, passports, securities, identification cards, cards, and toll tickets, which are required to prevent counterfeiting and falsification. The present invention relates to a magnetic discrimination medium and a truth discrimination method capable of discriminating authenticity based on magnetic waveforms detected on the front and back surfaces of a base material by forming a contacting boundary portion. SOLUTION: A first magnetic region formed by an ink containing a first magnetic material on the front surface of a base material, and a first magnetic region formed by an ink containing a second magnetic material on the back surface of the base material. A magnetic discrimination medium including two magnetic regions, in which at least a part of the first magnetic region and the second magnetic region forms adjacent, overlapping, or adjacent boundaries on the front and back of the base material, and the boundaries are formed. Is used as a magnetic discrimination medium in which the magnetic waveform measured by the MR sensor is inverted on the front surface and the back surface of the base material.
