An embodiment of the present invention provides an artificial intelligence device for recognizing a user's voice, comprising: a memory; microphone; and receiving a sound signal corresponding to the user's uttered voice through the microphone, obtaining personalized identification information corresponding to the uttered voice, and using a global language model to extract the uttered voice from the sound signal and a processor for recognizing, calculating the reliability of the recognition, and updating the personalized language model corresponding to the personalized identification information by using the speech recognition result when the calculated reliability exceeds a preset first reference value to provide an artificial intelligence device.
