The present disclosure relates to a dual MCU communication delay compensation apparatus and method. Specifically, the dual MCU communication delay compensation apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a first microcontroller unit (MCU) and a second MCU that exchanges data with the first MCU, and the first MCU transmits/receives data to and from the second MCU. The communication delay for the second MCU is corrected according to the delay value added to the communication period, and the delay value is based on the timer counter (Timer CNT) information stored in the timer registers of the first MCU and the second MCU. It is calculated by applying a time difference that occurs when data is transmitted/received in both directions between the first MCU and the second MCU.
